The 202425 UEFA Conference League

Draw Dates and Qualifying Phase

The 202425 UEFA Conference League qualifying phase and play-off round will begin on 11 July and end on 29 August 2023. A total of 155 teams will participate in the qualifying rounds, with the winners advancing to the group stage.

Second Qualifying Round

The second qualifying round will be drawn on 18 June 2024. The 60 teams that enter the competition at this stage will be divided into two pots based on their UEFA coefficient rankings. The 30 teams from Pot 1 will be seeded and will play at home against the 30 teams from Pot 2.

Format Changes for 202425

On 28 June 2023, UEFA announced that the UEFA Europa Conference League will be renamed as the UEFA Conference League from the 202425 season onwards. The competition format will remain largely the same, but there will be some minor changes.

• The number of teams in the group stage will be increased from 32 to 48.
• The knockout round play-offs will be abolished.
• The final will be played at a neutral venue.

The changes to the competition format are designed to make the UEFA Conference League more competitive and to give more teams the opportunity to participate in European competition.
