Membership Fee and Caution Deposits for Libraries

The Anna Centenary Library (ACL), a state-of-the-art facility, was inaugurated on September 15, 2010, to commemorate the 102nd birth anniversary of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. N. Annadurai.

Membership Fee Details

To become a member of a library under the Directorate of Public Libraries, the following membership fees apply:

• General Public: ₹100
• Students (Up to Higher Secondary): ₹50
• Senior Citizens (60 years and above): Free
• Physically Challenged Individuals: Free

Caution Deposit Details

In addition to the membership fee, a caution deposit is required to ensure the safe return of library materials. The caution deposit amounts are as follows:

• General Public: ₹200
• Students (Up to Higher Secondary): ₹100

The caution deposit will be refunded upon the cancellation of membership and the return of all borrowed materials in good condition.

Note

Please note that membership cards are non-transferable and must be presented upon request by library staff for verification purposes.
