Deal On Hold As Cherki Considers Future

Fulham Agree £127m Fee with Lyon for Rayan Cherki

Deal on Hold as Cherki Considers Future

Fulham have reportedly agreed to pay £127 million for Lyon midfielder Rayan Cherki, but the deal is now in doubt as the player considers his future.

The deal, which was reported by the Daily Mail, would see Fulham pay an initial £127 million with a further £4 million in add-ons. The fee would be a club record for Fulham and would make Cherki the most expensive signing in their history. However, it is now understood that Cherki is uncertain about the move. The 21-year-old is said to be flattered by Fulham's interest but is not convinced that the move is right for him at this stage in his career. Cherki has been a key player for Lyon in recent seasons and has helped the club win the Coupe de France in 2020 and 2022. He has also been capped by France at youth level. Fulham are keen to add Cherki to their squad as they look to build on their impressive start to the season. The Cottagers have won three of their first four Premier League games and are currently sitting in sixth place in the table. However, it remains to be seen whether Fulham will be able to persuade Cherki to make the move to Craven Cottage. The player is said to be in no rush to make a decision and is likely to take his time to consider his options.

Fulham have made a significant investment in their squad this summer, with Cherki set to become their record signing if he does eventually join the club.

The Cottagers have also signed Joao Palhinha, Andreas Pereira, and Kevin Mbabu this summer, and they will be hoping that these new additions can help them to achieve their目標s this season.
